It's a good year! Finally! I just had my first blackberry off the vine and, well, it was great!

Also, this year, I decided to prune the blackberries in the backyard so that they maximized the number of berries. Will post a picture if I get a chance...for now, let's just say that the pruning effort worked...

Anyone else have any berry reports from their region/locale? My report is from Berkeley, CA flatlands, 6 hours of sun. An aquaintance reported that she was picking blackberries two weeks ago on the SF Peninsula...that's early in my opinion...although if there is lots of sun...well, anything might be possible?
